about this great episode u guys might have guessed what interested me more than anything.. PIRACY!!

The cheapness of nintendo in designs while not-so-cheap prices are very good motivation for pirates!
When you pirate NDS you get 2 advantages, Free games and Free space of carrying games with you.

The same goes for PSP but luckily SONY learned from their mistake by removing UMD in PSPGo which really made it a nice hand-held console to obtain, sadly it is still pirated.

I hope Nintendo and Sony learn from iPhone and Android and make a Steam-like OS which you can get game demos and purchase games online, it is not impossible considering both consoles have decent WiFi, they could make downloads go in background like the PS3 which will not annoy players who can download stuff while the device is on the charger at night.

Also they can make the games tied to a registered account or the device’s serial number so that the consumer can download them again in case of data loss.

Not to mention that Sony can benefit highly from Nintendo DS’ multiplayer experience where you do not need to buy multiple copies of the game to play some multiplayer games but instead the other players download a light temporary version of the game from the guy who has it.
Some might say games like Monster Hunter will not work effeciently but they can attach each player’s profile in MH to the device itself, so people can gather more to play with one legal copy instead of 10 pirated copies.
Of course in Monster Hunter example you can not advance in the game without playing multiplayer with the guy who bought it, and buying a copy for yourself will grant you the ability to host games or play solo.
