ArenaNet just started to reveal more about the retail of the game, showing the contents of Guild Wars 2’s collector’s edition. NCsoft will start pre-orders on the 10th of April and this edition will cost around $150. What will you get inside? Hit the jump to find out!
Via Kotaku:
How about access to all beta events leading up to the game’s release later this year, along with three days’ worth of play time before the regular rabble gets in and takes all the good names? That’s what’s in store for players that pledge to purchase through NCsoft next month, 72 hours of pure bliss. Mind you it’s only 24 hours if you preorder through standard retailers, so you might want to stick to NCsoft this time around.
And while we’re talking bliss, how about that 10-inch statue of Rytlock Brimstone, complete with flaming sword, the centerpiece of the $150 collector’s edition. There’s also a 118-page hardbound making-of book, a collector’s tin, and a soundtrack CD, but the most exciting aspect of the collector’s edition has to be the inclusion of five Guild Wars 2 art prints. Why? Because they’ve also included a frame. No one ever includes a frame. Frames are important.
Of course, that’s not all, there’s a digital deluxe version. Here’s what you’ll get and how much it’ll cost:
– price: $69.99
– includes virtual items
There is also the standard version which goes for $49.99

Pretty bad ass. I am a fan of collector/limited edition stuff (own many ranging from movies ot games) so, i would have gotten this but im not a fan of MMO’s. I’d like to buy that statue alone though, looks awesome.
Best thing about this is it’s subscription-free. I won’t feel bad for purchasing it and playing it in my own pace. Good stuff.
