Sony updated their UMD Passport program support in Japan. They added some new titles to the program and posted a video tutorial to show how the process is done. Sadly, the service is still not coming to the West. More after the break.
Via Andriasang:
UMD Passport allows owners of retail PSP UMD games to download a digital version of the game for lower pricing. The service was started just ahead of PlayStation Vita’s release as a means of letting new Vita owners access their PSP catalogue (although the download versions work on PSP as well).
Today, Sony added 62 titles to the service, with new support from the likes of Square Enix, Konami, Electornic Arts, and Capcom. Notable titles include:
- Monster Hunter Portable 3rd
- Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G
- Last Ranker
- Rockman Dash 2
- Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker
- Tokimeki Memorial 4
- Tactics Ogre
- Final Fantasy Tactics
- Final Fantasy
- Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection
- Final Fantasy II
- Dissidia Final Fantasy
- Dissidia Final Fantasy 012
- 3rd Birthday
- Final Fantasy Type-0
- Ys I & II Chronicle
- Ys 7
- Legend of Heroes Sora no Kiseki
- Little Battler eXperience Boost
Perhaps Sony is experimenting with this and making sure it launches properly in Japan before bringing it over? PSP owners what do you guys think?
