Sony announced today that they will be stopping the service around September, but won’t be adding new entries to the store starting from March. What happens though if you already purchased comics from the store? Find out after the jump.
Via Andriasang:
Ahead of the September closure, Sony will stop adding new content to the service on March 15.
Those who purchased comic content from PlayStation Store will be able to continue redownloading their content through the end of this year. Sony will also keep the Comic Reader app available for download through the end of the year.
For those who’d like to back up their comic content, Sony suggests using the Media Go program.
Sony says that it is currently looking into offering comic and other digital book content through other Sony and PlayStation brand product.

ist this a bad timing with the VITA just released?
Actually they said they’ll be offering other solutions through different Sony brand products. Maybe open up a stand-alone comic app which makes a lot more sense since you can have it on the Vita, Sony’s Android tablets, etc.
