– Today’s focus is the Vita
– The release date for the Vita is December 17 in Japan.
– The Vita will offer 3G thru carrier Docomo
– In Japan, Sony will be offering pre-paid data plans for Vita 3G service.
– Users must pay by the hour for 3G service — 980 yen for 20 hours or 4980 yen for 100 hours. That works out to about $13 USD and $65 USD respectively for pre-paid plans.
– Sony thinks it can hit that balance of core and casual
– Network is important to this device.
– Very classy interface for the 3G network
– Kaz Hirai is showing off the Amazing Spider-Man trailer on the PS Vita, taking us back to the PSP and fond memories of free Spider-Man UMDs.
– Then you peel that way to add to the hub of PSP bubbles. Where you can select things like music, video, or games.
– You can also look at pics by sliding.

– Sony is showing off something called Welcome Park for Vita, which (like everything else so far) is not actually a video game.
– The Welcome Park features mini-games
– It’s like an iPhone app for your Vita.
– The PS Vita has a browser that can be used while you have a game running (like the 3DS!)
– There is a friends list for the vita
– Facebook, Twitter, Foursqure, and Skype, all at once, all for you.
– Sony is confident that this is a high grade entertainment system ( But what about games?! )
– Capcom on stage.
– Street Fighter X Tekken & Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 for Vita
– UMVC3 for vita is a launch title, same amazing PS3 experience on the Vita, runs at 60 frames per second. With NEW Vita features!
– Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 also has touchscreen controls for a “new playing style.”
– It also uses Vita’s Near feature, which is like Nintendo’s StreetPass, only with a horrible name.
– Both Street Fighter X Tekken and UMVC3 are playable at TGS.
– PlayStation mascots Toro and Kuro will also appear in the PS VIta version of Street Fighter X Tekken.
– Here comes Hashimoto from square enix
– Square Enix is making two games.
– The Action RPG Lords of Apocalypse. It’s a launch title.
– And then ARMY CORPS OF HELL.Featuring one hundred groups of demons. That’s a lot of demons. Also a launch title.
– Final Fantasy XIII-2 launches in December in Japan
– A special 10th anniversary Final Fantasy title for the PS Vita.
– It’s Final Fantasy X -_-
– It’s a remake of Final Fantasy X in HD for the PS3 and Vita
– He can’t show us anything yet. He will in the future.
– Next up, Konami. Hideo Kojima is on stage.
– He’s talking about sharing the gaming experience between portables and consoles.
– Step one was bringing Peace Walker to the PS3 from the PSP.
– Next comes the HD Metal Gear Solid compilation coming to the VIta from PS3 That will be released in 2012.
– And then a lovely little trailer for Zone of the Enders HD collection, with ZOE 1 and 2 in HD, on sale next year.
– It’s Step 3: A game that can be played on the PS3, and then picked up on the Vita.
– They are also working on a new game Kojima can’t talk about right now. A new ORIGINAL Kojima game.
– Now Masami Yamamoto from Sony Japan studios.
– He’s talking Hot Shots Golf Six Known in Japan as Everybody’s Golf.
– It has online and has a messaging system for friends
– Yuusha no Kiroku, This title focuses on daily things using the Vita’s calendar. Sort of an RPG.
– An RPG that creates monsters in your calendar and has a hero fight them.
– Now we’re looking at Friends Netowrk. It’s Mii Plaza, only it’s on the Vita and you can actually make friends with strangers.
– Their focus is incorporating day-to-day life into games.
– Next up Niwango’s president
– NicoNico Douga will be supported On Vita .It’s a popular Japanese video sharing website.
– They say many NicoNico Douga users are gamers.
– The NicoNico Douga roll out is viewing only, Sharing comes later.
– Sony will take on the challenge of merging network and games
– There are 26 Vita launch titles in Japan. Including Fish On, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3.
– There are more titles in development. Ninja Gaiden Sigma and A new Tales of game.
– There are one hundred games coming to the Vita
– Most downloadable psp games can be played on Vita, with dual stick support.
– No UMD support, but they are thinking of doing something for PSP UMD holders.
– Vita preorders start October 15 in Japan.
– There are 80 Vita titles at TGS
– They are also taking 30 games on the road in a PS Vita Caravan Visiting osaka Nagoya Fukuoka and Sapporo.
