Via Andriasang:
In Japan, the 3DS version of Sonic Generations is titled Sonic Generations Blue Adventure, as opposed to the “Sonic Generations White Space & Time” of the PS360 version. While the two versions offer the same choice of Classic Style and Modern Style play options, they’re otherwise quite different. Outside of the Green Hill Zone, which is pictured in the gallery, the 3DS title has all unique stages.
Other features of the 3DS version mentioned by Sega today include:
- The appearance of Big Arm, Sonic the Hedgehog 3’s final boss
- Two player internet competitive play
- Street Pass support
- A Special Stage that will be familiar to those who played Sonic Heroes
With all that hype Sega is trying to make I really hope it’s worth it. All I worry about is that they’ll manage to put something in the game that will make it suck entirely. Sega have been careful to show us gameplay screenshots and videos but it’s what’s in-between that worries any Sonic fan.
