The best way to describe journey is that it is a spiritual and emotional Journey. It’s hard to describe this game because every gamer who gets to play this game will have his own journey and what is great about it is that every journey is different from everyone because of the people you meet. It’s the online is what makes this game so good.
I really hope more people play it. In online those shiny lights that look like shooting stars are actually real players who went into the light in the mountain (From what i heard) so, it may be true or it may not be true. But it’s an awesome touch, if true. Those cut-scenes, picture on the wall is just tidbits about the story in Journey.
The story is up for interpretation but for me i think the white robs people are like the superiors to the red robs people, the robs are power and if you unlock the white rob costume you can see that they could recharge without needing any help. Because of how much power they had, they abused it and started unleashing the demons (serpents, my guess is that they wanted more power so they went mechanical instead of cloth only) and basically letting their city go to ruins, which is why you see the buildings buried under the sand and all that. The cut-scenes give you an idea of how the city was and how they are redeeming themselves by letting the red robs restore things as they used too. It’s a story about life in someway. You get lost, go through fun times, go through hardships, overcome danger, dying, rebirth, reaching the end of the light in the narrow dark tunnel .etc
It looks like they also had animals which are those flying carpets which also help you on the journey.
The story has many interpretations but what most people and me myself agree on is that it seems the white robe people are the superiors and they abused the power of the cloth. Besides that, it’s an amazing game and an experience many should experience it (In one sitting)
It is indeed a very unique title. I wish to see more from ThatGameCompany in the likes of Journey in the future.

With the success of the game and the soundtrack (It reached top charts in itunes) I am sure we will get to see more unique titles from them. I for one cannot wait.
