Q: Do you support gaming communities as a hardcore gamer? If so then which communities do you follow and why?

Well it depends.. my answere is yes and no at the same time..;
No if the gaming community u mean is an online gaming community (such as forums blogs and etc)
and the answer is yes if the gaming community is a grp of friends that we discuss the game in real life (like in diwaniya, through game chat, phone etc)
if that is considered a community then my answer is yes and most of the games will be the strategy ones, then follows the Action/Rpg such as The witcher + oblivion style
if that is not considered as a community then Nope my answer is no and thanks :D
I have done this for both online and offline games.
But usually I look for Wiki’s to get more information since it feels like a bigger source of information and more organized than forums :)
As for communities I like to chat about my experience in game more than how to play a game, fun things that happened to me in a certain game or fun discoveries.
my answer is yes if you mean that a gaming community is about a group of friends discussing games either in dewaniya or anywhere else.
I only like to discuss about MMO, Fighting, strategy, or RPG games ONLY!!! because in my opinion they are WAY more discussible and have many things to discover like for example:- (The Witcher 2, WOW, Final Fantasy) or any other game that have the genre’s mentioned above, but discussing about games like COD or any other 1st or 3rd person shooter similar to it is boring and is like hearing the same thing over and over again with nothing new packed in it ;)

If you belong to a gaming community of any sort tell us which one and why you are an active member of that community.
To make things clear, it could be a forum membership, game tournaments of any kind, etc.

I’d have to say no. I used to be an active member of the gamewinners.com forums back in late 90s early 00s. But after a while, I realized that most gaming communities nowadays are composed to overly excited, narrow-minded, and ADHD-like teengers who don’t appreciate video games like how they are supposed to be appreciated.
Yes, we all were teenagers back in the 90s, but we were rather polite and cornered since the gaming community was run by adults. Not to mention games back then were well-polished and not dependent on just graphics and hypes.
So for now, my only gaming community is the dowaniya where we can discuss and analyze most game types with level-headedness.
P.S: it goes without saying that Arab online communities are a BIG no no. Simply cause we arabs tend to act more arrogant behind screens and belittle all other users. I experienced this many, many times before.
