Engadget had just reported some tidbits of a PSP Phone that might be revealed sooner than we might have thought.
Specs:
- Android 3.0 platform
- 3.7 to 4.1 inch WVGA or better resolution screen
- A possible 5 megapixel camera
- 1GHz Snapdragon CPU
Design wise, a standard PlayStation D-pad and face buttons would be present on the device, including a long touch pad for analog control. Some games were also hinted to be prepared for the platform such as God of War and Little Big Planet. With GamesCom and Tokyo Game Show on the way, we can only expect an announcement around then from Sony representatives. When thinking of the device as a phone and portable gaming device, there are several points that one can put into consideration; battery life and the size of the device itself, for instance. If the report was accurate or may shed a ray of light to reality, then Apple “might” have a good competitor. Only time will tell.

nice! great news as an android fan! this should push android and mobile gaming in general. but i’m worried about the hardware quality given by the latest SE phones… as they were aweful!
sounds too good to be true!
I dont think Sony will relay on Google for the whole OS… it might be divided between gaming OS (XMB PSN) with Android running in the background (gaming mode) or the android by it self (phone mode)
Sony will support the gamnig OS just like the PSP… while google will update the Android OS.
exiting rumors…..Tokyo game show cant get any sooner!
