Finally and after a long wait, Sony started to restore services for their PlayStation and SOE systems. They’ll be doing this region by region and an update will be needed for your PS3 when you try to connect (ver. 3.61).
With regards to changing your passwords, the PS Blog has added this note:
“If using a PS3, your password can only be changed on your own PS3 (or a PS3 on which your PSN account was activated), as an added layer of security” – Lempel.
Keep in mind to change your passwords as soon as possible and if you have any Credit Card info that you’d remove/change them as well. The service should be up and running for North America right now.
