New Super Mario Bros. 2 will be released for 3DS in August, Iwata announced. He did not share gameplay specifics, but did say that Nintendo is aiming for a new 2D Mario standard with the game.
Animal Crossing 3DS will be released in the Fall. The game’s final Japanese name is Tobidase Doubutsu no Mori. The name “Tobidase” can mean jumping out of something. It’s often used to describe the 3DS’s 3D effect. Iwata said that in addition to the visuals, the term applies here to the game’s wireless functionality.
Seems that Nintendo want’s to make up for the lack of Mario (or first party titles) on their handheld so you’ll be getting your second Mario title this year in August.
