Japanese Devs Donate Millions For Earthquake Relief

 

Below are some of the numbers of the extremely generous donations from various Japanese videogame developers:

  • Konami – 1 billion yen donation
  • Square Enix – 100 million yen donation through Red Cross
  • Level 5 – 10 million yen; and revenue from mobile games Mobile Eleven will go to charity
  • Hanbitstation – revenue from two MMORPGs Hell Gate and Granado Espada (Sword of The New World)  from now through April will go to charity
  • Gamania – 10 million yen donation
  • Capcom – 100 million yen; sales of Street Fighter IV for iPhone (99 cents) will go to charity
  • Nintendo – 300 million yen
  • Koei Tecmo – 10 million yen to Red Cross Japan
  • Sega Sammy – 200 million yen
  • Bandai Namco – 100 million yen
  • 5pb – all sales from its iOS game Memories Off 6 T-Wave from now until March 31 will be donated, the price has been dropped from 2000 yen to 350 yen
