Game Remakes

Do you like the idea of remaking games? Would you like to see an old game you loved remade? Or would you rather play a game just once and that’s it?
While I do support new IPs and ideas, I still love to see more games remade. (By remaking I mean completely remaking the game, not porting it or re-mastering it in HD). Remakes allows us to experience the awesome game we enjoyed before, but with newer, more beautiful technology.
Two of my top personal favorite remakes are on GameCube (Nintendo is LUCKY to have these games exclusively for them) Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes.
MGS retells the amazing story MGS1 offered, the only difference is that they did it more beautifully (6th-gen graphics). Nothing much (except for new weapons and a new first person shooting mode like MGS2) has changed but that doesn’t mean if you played the PSX version you should miss out on this one, you shouldn’t. It’s a masterpiece.
On the other hand, when they remade Resident Evil, a lot of things were changed from the PSX version. New areas were added, more puzzles, new bosses that have changed the story line and made the game much more challenging. One of the things that makes the remake much more scarier and more realistic is the re-recorded script. (Admit it, it was funny on the original RE!), while on contrast MGS: The Twin Snakes had the same voice actors recording everything again.
All in all, I am a remake supporter, I adore remakes. Do you like remakes? Or do you find them a waste of time like some people? Give your opinion out!
