Epic will start licensing their port of their Unreal Engine 3 to the iOS devices (iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad). This means that more games that look as good as Infinity Blade might start popping up sooner than you think. This is a huge step forward to mobile game development as it’ll be a test on how to push the limits of the platform in question.
Here’s the details of how to acquire the development kit and how the licensing works:
The dev kit can be downloaded free, but you’ll have to pay a $99 licensing fee, including 25% royalties after the first $5000 of sales.
Pretty fair, considering the license price and development costs.
Thanks to Rotsu for the heads up!
