BioShock Infinite Delayed

Excited to explore BioShock Infinite soon? Guess soon pretty much translates to a February 26, 2013 release. The game got delayed to seemingly increase the game’s quality but they’ll also skip events like E3 and others. More after the break.

Via Side Mission:

“When we announced the release date of BioShock Infinite in March, we felt pretty good about the timing.” said Ken Levine, Creative Director of Irrational Games. “Since then, we’ve uncovered opportunities to make Infinite into something even more extraordinary. Therefore, to give our talented team the time they need to deliver the best Infinite possible, we’ve decided to move the game’s release to February.”

Also, in a post over on the game’s official website, Levine noted that the game is basically entering a media blackout for a little while as Irrational holds off on showing BioShock Infinite at the big events of the summer, like E3 and GamesCom. “That way, the next time you see our game, it will be essentially the product we intend to put in the box.” stated Levine. “Preparing for these events takes time away from development, time we’re going to use instead to get the best version of Infinite into your hands in February.”
